Diane Sheldon, President of ExecuSuites I-270, Inc. (ESI), has announced her retirement effective April 12, 2013.  Sheldon joined ESI in 1989 as a part-time receptionist and worked her way up, serving as President since 2008.

“Diane has been instrumental in the growth and continued success of ESI,” according to Vicki DeFries, board member and daughter of founder and former President Mike DeFries.  “She has worked hard to create a strong sense of community among our clients and has developed ESI into the leading business center and executive office suite facility in the Rockville area.  We’ll miss her greatly, but we wish her the best as she embarks on the new adventures that await her in retirement. “

During Sheldon’s tenure, ESI has experienced consistent success by attracting new clients to their state-of-the-art offices located on Research Boulevard.  By staying abreast of industry trends and implementing the latest office and communication technology, Sheldon has led the organization to achieve a high occupancy rate and stable client base.

“Diane’s efforts have been greatly appreciated over the past 24 years,” continued DeFries.  “She has been an outstanding leader and her dedication to helping businesses grow and succeed has been evident to the over 1500 companies that have called ESI home during her tenure.”

Sheldon has also been actively involved in the local business community participating in both the Rockville and Montgomery County Chambers of Commerce.

MaryEllen Gluck, Vice President, was unanimously elected as President by the board effective April 15, 2013.
