Montgomery County's new $26 million, state-of-the-art library opened in Rockville Town Square on December 7, 2006. Offerings include new and popular titles, large print books, audio books, public computers, a free WiFi connection, languages, Children's Resource collection, areas designated for Children and Teens, a Children's Program Room, talking books, non-fiction and reference works, the Business Information Center, magazines/newspapers, a computer lab, quiet study and group study rooms which may be reserved, a public meeting room and the Ask-A-Librarian services.
Free parking is available across the street from the Maryland Avenue entrance in the new garage at 30 Maryland Avenue.

It will support the Rockville Sister City Corporation (RSCC) which is a tax-deductible, not-for-profit corporation that has fostered Rockville’s 50+ year sister city relationship with Pinneberg, Germany and is about to engage in a brand new friendship city relationship with Jiaxing, China. GO/WEIQI/BADUK is a popular, highly revered 3,000+ year old board game played throughout China, Korea, and Japan. It is as easy to learn as checkers, but is strategically more complex and profound than all other traditional board games.
