Pump House
401 South Horners Lane
Rockville, MD 20850
From 1865 to 1900 Rockville changed from a sleepy courthouse village to a bustling resort and commuter town. In 1896 the Mayor and Council authorized construction of a waterworks to serve the town. This pump house was in almost continuous operation until 1957. Today it is used for meetings and is part of a City of Rockville park (see web link for details).
